Radiation Therapy Program

Radiation Physicians, Residents, Medical Radiation Physicists, Radiologists, Oncology Nurses, Dosimetrists, and Radiation Therapists serve as the primary didactic and clinical instructors for the program.

The 12 month School for the Radiation Therapist begins approximately the last week in August.  The curriculum consists of approximately 350 hours didactic courses and 1100 hours clinical experience.  At present, no academic credit is granted for the courses taught at our institution.

All students are expected to be in the Department of Radiation Oncology Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:30am and 4:00pm.  Some variation in the hours may occur throughout the year to accommodate the didactic and clinical teaching.  A two week vacation/sick/injury leave is permitted during the program in addition to recognized National holidays.

Program Costs

The tuition for the program is $3,000.  A non-refundable deposit of $100 is required upon acceptance.  The remaining $2,900 is due the first week of the school term.
